Llora Marjorie Cox of Danville was lifted up into the arms of her lord on November 25, 2007. She looked forward to being reunited with her husband, Emmett Ross Cox, Jr, her parents, Ervin J. and Fonza C. Claggett, special cousins, Ray and Thelma Stogdell, and many close relatives and friends who have passed before her. Margie was born on May 19, 1926 in Lexington, Illinois, the only child of Ervin and Fonza Claggett. She married Emmett Ross Cox, Jr, in Lexington, Illinois on September 20, 1944. He preceded her in death on January 12, 1992. She is survived by four children: C. Leslie (Mary Deborah) Cox, Lori Ann Block, Holly Sue Miller, and Rebecca Lynn (Mark Zimmerman) LaCombe, three grandchildren: Robin (Tom) Ludeman, Christopher (Jennifer) LaCombe, James R. Block; and seven great-grandchildren. During her lifetime, Margie worked for Vermilion County in the Auditors Office, Treasurers Office and Vermilion Manor. She was building Manager of Vermilion House senior citizen apartments for 10 years, from which she retired in 1990. Margie enjoyed being with her family and friends, and she was an avid Illini basketball fan. She also enjoyed traveling, reading, movies, dining out and dominos with her friends.
