Lisa M. Dodd, 39, of Danville passed away on May 23, 2018 at her home. She was born in Danville on September 6, 1978 to Thomas and Alice (Schmidt) Wright. She attended Indiana State University and received her Bachelors' in marketing, journalism, and public relations. She worked at the Community Blood Bank in Champaign, the Schultz House in Danville and waitressed at Applebee's. She loved spending time with family, traveling, camping and being outdoors. She attended Life Church in Danville. Lisa was fun loving, always smiling, and had a great sense of humor. She will be dearly missed. She is survived by her father, L.Thomas Wright of Bismarck; son, Ethan William Dodd of Danville; sisters, Sherri (Ricky) Thacker of Manteno, IL, Julie (Greg) Shepard of Danville, Christy (Scott) King of Farmer City, IL; brother, Michael (Cheri) Neufeld of Danville, IN and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, Alice Wright. Visitation will be held from 3-6 PM, Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 3940 North Vermilion Street, Danville, IL 61834. Funeral services will be held at 6 PM following the visitation with Pastors Archie Neal and Doug Knapp officiating. Private graveside rites will be held at a later date at Walnut Corner Cemetery.
