Linda Sue Trosper

Linda Sue {Grider} Trosper, 55, of Georgetown, passed away at 6:13am, Monday, May 5, 2014, at her home. She was born on August 28, 1958, in Danville, IL, the daughter of Thomas and Julia Ann {Linne} Grider. She was united in marriage to Randal L. Trosper on March 17, 1979, in Georgetown. He will miss her dearly. She will also be missed by: her son, Thomas (Lindsay) Trosper of Virginia Beach, VA; her daughters, Brandy (Kevin) Ryan of Ridge Farm & Heather (Calvin) Smith of Indianola; her grandchildren, Kasadee Ryan, Keirstynne Smith, Landon Ryan, Evie Trosper, & Alex Smith; her brothers, Michael Grider of Georgetown & Steve (Patsy) Grider of Arlington, TX. She was preceded in death by her father, Thomas Grider. Linda was a very loving and faithful wife of 35 years. She enjoyed and was devoted to raising her children and grandchildren. Linda loved spending time with family in the outdoors. Mushrooming, fishing, picnicking, trail walking, wiener roasts, campfires, and gazing at the Big Dipper on clear, summer nights. Linda was a God-fearing woman. She truly believed that her place in life was to raise kids. She was very passionate about spending as much time with her grandchildren as she could. Linda knew no stranger and positively affected all who met her. A celebration of Lindas life will be held at 10:00am, Saturday, May 10, 2014, at Sunsets Houghton-Leasure Funeral Home with Pastor James Blue officiating. Visitation will be 3pm-7pm, Friday, May 9, 2014, at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest in Pleasant Mound Cemetery. Memorials may be given in her name to Carle Charity Care Fund.
