Newport, Ind. -- Linda Sue Ritchey, 53, of Newport, passed away at 8:37 a.m. EST Monday, January 18, 2010 at her residence in Newport. She was born May 15, 1956 in Fort Wayne, Indiana the daughter of Clarence Edwin and Mary Vibbert Norman. Survivors include one daughter, Rebecca Ritchey of Frankfort, Indiana; one son, Brian Eugene(Danielle)Ritchey, Jr. of Rockville, Indiana; two stepsons, Jason Ritchey of Greencastle, Indiana and Jeramie Ritchey of Rockville, Indiana; her parents, Ed(Mary)Norman of Newport, Indiana; four grandchildren; two sisters, DeEtta(Joe)Claytore of Shelbyville, Tennessee and Kandi(Harry)Boyd of Hillsdale, Indiana; three brothers, Eddie Norman of Newport, Indiana; Clyde(Penny)Norman of Universal, Indiana and Zeke(Ranae)Norman of Newport, Indiana. Linda was a member of the Newport Church of God. She enjoyed watching the Indianapolis Colts, collecting Indian artifacts, hunting for Indian beads and spending time with her niece, Maddy. Funeral services: 10 a.m. EST Thursday, January 21, 2010 at DeVerter Funeral Home in Cayuga, Indiana; Officiating: Pastor John Hawkins; Burial: Oakland Cemetery in Montezuma, Indiana; Visitation: 5 to 8 p.m. EST Wednesday, January 20, 2010 at the funeral home.
