Linda Reffett

Linda Reffett, 78, passed away on Thursday, August 18, 2022 at OSF Sacred Heart Medical Center in Danville. She was born the daughter of Russell Herbert Cook and Nellie Delories Hall on April 22, 1944 in Danville, IL.

She leaves behind her husband of 44 years, Kenneth Reffett; son, Richard Pluskis; stepchildren, Sheila (Allen) Johnson, Ronald Reffett, and Troy (Crystal) Reffett; siblings, Robert (Theresa) Cook, Timothy (Bernie) Cook Sr, Delores (Larry) Orr, Larry (Bonnie) Cook, John Cook, James (Deborah) Cook, Thomas (Sandy) Cook, JD Gerling, Jane (Mike) Wilson, Peggy (David) Barker, and Mary Cook; as well as many grandchildren, great grandchildren, step grandchildren, cousins, and nieces and nephews.

Linda is preceded in death by her parents; two daughters, Katherine Long and Deanna Strawser; and siblings, Pamela Fairchild, Russell Cook, David Cook, Raymond Thompson, Jeffery Cook, and Daniel Cook.

Linda was kindhearted, caring, loving, patient, thoughtful, compassionate, and had a great sense of humor. She would have helped anyone that needed it. She was an all-around good person. Linda's loved to shop, cook, have cook-outs with her family, fish, and playing Euchre. She also enjoyed watching her hummingbirds, feeding her pet squirrel, Roscoe, and she looked forward to watching her Soap Opera 'The Young & Restless." Linda dearly loved her sister's dog named Lilly. She loved spending time with her husband, son, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She enjoyed spending quality time with her family and friends. Family time was very important to her, holidays meant so much and she always put a lot of thought into the gifts she gave. Linda loved the Lord Jesus Christ and had faith in him.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 24, 2022 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville, Illinois, 3940 N Vermilion St. Danville, Illinois 61834. Officiating will be Pastor Randy Downing. Services are to end at the funeral home. Visitation will be held just prior to the service from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
