Linda Jeannette (Musson) Adams went home to be with Jesus on July 14, 2026.
Linda was a Valentine baby born on February 14, 1948 to the late Verle “Jack” and Goldie (Dolbee) Musson. She married the first love of her life, Charles “Bob” Adams February 15, 1969 and together they had four children, Betsy, Doug, Cherri, and Jason. After Bob died, Linda married Thomas Schoenfeld on June 18, 2011.
Linda knew, loved, and served the Lord. She and Bob served as the church treasurer at Lone Oak Church of Christ and also led a children's choir called Super Gang that performed at local churches and nursing homes.
Linda worked at Oakwood Community Unit School District #76 as payroll clerk, secretary to the superintendent, and treasurer for 38 years, retiring in 2008. She also worked at a few local financial institutions.
Linda enjoyed going on cruises, attending Elvis festivals, playing euchre, and spending time with her family.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, brothers, daughter Betsy, and a dear friend Deanna Green.
Linda is survived and will be missed dearly by her children Doug (Amy) Adams, Cherri (Ron) Pettice, and Jason (Carla) Adams, grandchildren Makayla Stark, Maria, Gracie, Jacob, and Paityn Adams, Justin and Joshua Pettice, great grandchild Madalynn Shelton, sister Shirley Musson, all of Deanna Green’s children, and several kind caregivers along the way.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, July 21, 2026 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Oakwood, Illinois 105 East S. Main St. Oakwood, Illinois 61858. Stephanie Spangler will officiate. Burial will be in Newtown Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 PM on Monday, July 20, 2026 at the funeral home in Oakwood, IL.
