Linda Miller

Linda Jane (Patterson) Miller, 84, of Danville, Illinois went to her heavenly home to be with our Lord on November 4, 2026, at her daughter's residence. Linda was born on August 8, 1942, in Danville, Illinois, daughter of Ernest and Marzell (Ricketts) Patterson.

She graduated from Danville High School in 1960 and from Lakeview College of Nursing in 1964. She then went on to work for Cook County Hospital in Chicago, Illinois. She moved back to Danville in 1979 to work for Veterans Administration, where she retired in 2009 as a registered nurse for 29.5 years.

Linda married the love of her life, Collin (Cam) Miller on February 14, 1969, in Chicago, Illinois and enjoyed 39 years of a very happy marriage before his passing on June 8, 2008. She is survived by her daughter, Kelly (Miller) O'Toole; grandchildren, Ashley (Austin) Trimble, Alaina Miller, and Austin O'Toole; great grandchildren, Everleigh and David Trimble; a brother Allyn (Debbie) Patterson, and a sister; Kay (Ed) Pundt; nieces and nephews, William Pundt, Susie (Terry) Johnson, Angela Harrison, Joshua Pundt, Jami Patterson, and Wes (Jennifer) Patterson. She is preceded in death by her husband, mother, father, and grandparents.

Linda was a member of First Baptist Church in Danville, Illinois. She loved reading her bible and her church family. Linda loved her family and spending time with them and her cat Sammy. She enjoyed watching the Chicago Bears, Bulls, and Illini as well as the Danville Vikings. She also liked listening to music and doing crossword puzzles. Linda as a very special lady who was kind and loving to everyone. She was always there for her family and friends. She will be greatly missed by all.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to First Baptist Church or First Baptist Christian School.

A visitation for Linda will be held on November 11, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Sunset Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 3940 N. Vermilion Street Danville, IL. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 pm at the same location, officiated by Pastor Ken Seest. Burial will take place at Lower Mound Cemetery in Perrysville, Indiana.
