Linda Mae Hollen (Long), 67, of Danville passed away on Wednesday, March 4, 2020 at home surrounded by loved ones. She was born on May 27, 1952, in Danville, IL, at Lakeview Medical Center, the daughter of William Edward Long and Glenna Frances Long. They precede her in death. Linda is survived by her husband, Robert L. Hollen; brother, William A. Long and Susan Long of Advance, NC.; son, Jeff and Allison Wallace and their children, Emery and Domenick, of St. Joseph, MI; and son, Joe and Shannon Wallace, and their children Lucas and Alexander, of Oakwood, IL. Also surviving include Bob's brothers, Kenneth James Hollen and Michael DeWayne Hollen, and their children Timothy Hollen, Robert G. Hollen, Paula Mingee, and Ann Smith; 16 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren. She graduated from Danville High School in 1970. Her vocation was helping people, and she enjoyed her working at both Danville Lutheran School and Danville Area Community College. She enjoyed being involved in groups with her friends, participating in Job's Daughters and Bunco clubs. She loved to travel, watch sports, and play card and board games with her family.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, March 9, 2020 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville, Illinois, 3940 N Vermilion St. Danville, Illinois 61834. Officiating will be Pastor James Blue. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held just prior to the service from 1 to 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
