Linda Lou Dolbee

Oakwood - Linda Lou Dolbee, 70, of Oakwood passed away peacefully at 3:50 PM on Thursday, May 31, 2018 at Carle Foundation Hospital with her daughters by her side. She was born on November 3, 1947 in Danville to Carroll and Mae (Liggett) Weir. She married the love of her life and soulmate, Harold "Howard" Dolbee on August 12, 1967 in Newtown. He survives. In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Beth (Michael Suter) Dolbee-Fellows of Pana and Laura Dolbee-Clark of Oakwood; grandchildren, Braydon Dolbee and Bryson Dolbee-Fellows of Pana, Madison Elizabeth and Kaitlyn Marie Clark of Oakwood, Amber (Brad) Mizeur of Oconee, and Adrianna Suter of Pana; A sister, Sue Butcher of Oakwood; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, David. Linda worked at Target before becoming a Telephone Operator at Illinois Bell Telephone Company from where she retired. She enjoyed watching the NHL and NASCAR and was a Chicago Cubs fan. Most of all, she loved spending time with her grandchildren. A service to celebrate the life of Linda Dolbee will be held at 10 AM on Tuesday, June 5, 2018 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 3940 N. Vermilion St. in Danville. Pastor Patti Wise will officiate. Burial will follow at Newtown Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4-7 PM on Monday, June 4, also at Sunset in Danville. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Oakwood Emergency Rescue Service in Linda's honor.
