Linda Lou Carter

Veedersburg, Ind. - Linda Lou Carter, 77, of Veedersburg, passed away at 5:41 p.m. EDT Thursday, July 12, 2018 at St. Vincent Hospital Williamsport in Williamsport, Indiana.

She was born November 11, 1940 in Vermillion County, Indiana the daughter of the late Tlitha (Dugger) Hinkle and Louis Wigley.

Linda married Jackie Dean Carter on March 15, 1960. He preceded her in death on January 27, 2007.

Survivors include her children: Penny (Donny) Sanders and Cindy (Tracy) Dennis both of Cates, Indiana; Bruce (Lori) Carter of Covington, Indiana; Michael (Trixie) Carter of Veedersburg, Indiana and Kris (Tim) Smalley of Perrysville, Indiana; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; three sisters: Sue (Bud) Myers of Dana, Indiana; Nancy (Mike) Grimes of Florida and Diana McBeth of Cayuga, Indiana; two brothers: Bob (Patty) Hinkle of Dana, Indiana and Michael Hinkle of Newport, Indiana, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Linda was preceded in death by her step father: Harold Hinkle; son: Billy Dean Carter; one great granddaughter; one great grandson, and three sisters.

Linda enjoyed tending to her garden and listening to Elvis Presley music. She especially enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Funeral services: 6 p.m. EDT Sunday, July 15, 2018 at DeVerter Funeral Home in Cayuga, Indiana; Officiating: Tim Smalley; Visitation: 4 p.m. EDT Sunday, July 15, 2018 until time of services at the funeral home. Cremation will be accorded following services.
