Linda K. Blough

Linda Kay Blough, 76, of Tilton, passed away Monday, March 11, 2019 surrounded by her family.

Linda was born in Covington, IN, on December 5, 1942. She was the daughter of the late William "Woody" and Mary Martin Booe. On August 15, 1964, Linda married Dennis Norton. He passed away on August 2, 1978. On July 10, 1982, she married Richard Barry Blough, Sr. Linda will be dearly missed by her husband of 36 years. She will also be dearly missed by her brother, John "Jack" (Deanna) Booe, Sr. of Tilton; children, Sherry Overcast of Tilton, Carolyn (Donald) Parsons of Aurora, CO, Shari Blough of Danville and Rick (Linda) Blough, Jr. of Danville; grandchildren Sarah Brown (George Callahan) of Danville, Chris Brown of Westville, Kayla, Kristi and Kelli Parsons of Aurora, CO, Holly Miller and Madison Watson of Danville, Deanna (Mike) Miller of St. Charles, MO, and Travis (Danielle) Overcast of La Vergne, TN; beloved great-grandchildren Ethan and Claire, who were her constant companions, Ellie, Haylee, Zaidie and Addi; nieces Theresa (Tim) Everett of Tilton and Janet (Joe) Fender of Chrisman, nephew John Booe, Jr. of Danville; brother-in-law, Larry Blough of Danville; and her lifelong childhood friend, Joyce Verzal, of Michigan City, IN.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, her parents-in-law, Robert Rodney and Anna May Blough of Danville, and her son-in-law, Walt Overcast, of Murfreesboro, TN.

Linda lived in the home she was raised in and called Tilton her home almost her entire life. She loved her family, reading, watching movies and doing yard work. She rescued every cat that came to her door and spoiled the four that owned her. When her daughter Sherry moved home from Tennessee after her husband passed away, the two of them went to rummage sales, shopping at Goodwill, the Covered Bridge Festival, grandkids events, and enjoyed every minute. Their favorite stop was Steak n Shake for hot fudge sundaes. You may recognize Linda from the information desk at United Samaritans Medical Center, where she worked until her retirement.
