Linda Margaret Johnson

Linda Margaret Johnson (Ridens), 76, of Westville, Illinois, passed away on March 17, 2025 with her family by her side.

Born June 30, 1948, in Texas City, Illinois. Linda was the daughter of William and Dorothy (Stettler) Ridens. She was preceded in death by her parents, William & Dorothy (Stettler) Ridens, Sister Mary Joyce Lawson, and Brother in-law Steve Lyons.

She is survived by her daughters, Christy Johnson of Charlotte, NC and Stephanie Woolley (Brendan) of Matthews, NC. Siblings: Wilma Filebark of Westville, IL, Janet (John) Becker of Indianapolis, IN, Michael (Carol) Ridens of Covington, IN, and Karen Lyons of Westville, IL.

Nieces/Nephews: Eric Filebark of MO, Lisa Brown (Nick) of IN, Beth (Ben) Byrnes of GA, Laura (Eric) Gardner of IN, Wil (Scott) Lyons of CA, and Emily (Lee) Martin of IN.

Linda graduated from Schlarman High School in 1966.

She was a devoted Mother and caregiver to many and loved spending time with her family.

Linda was a faithful member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. She loved music of all types, especially The Beatles and Barry Manilow. She also loved cheering on her St. Louis Cardinals.

Services will be held at St. Mary’s Church in Westville, IL on March 22, 2025. Visitation will begin at 9:30am, Rosary at 10:30am, followed by Mass at 11am.

Linda will be laid to rest at Resurrection Cemetery in Danville, IL.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given in her name to St. Mary’s Church – Westville, IL.
