Linda J. Newlin

Linda J. Newlin, 72, of Covington, IN passed away November 8, 2021 at OSF Sacred Heart in Danville, IL. She was born on May 29, 1949 in Danville to parents, Otis and Martha Mullins. They preceded her in death. Also preceding her, was her husband, Gary Newlin, Sr.

Linda is survived by her children, Gary (Angela) Newlin, II, William (Emily) Newlin and Laura Boyd; grandchildren, Grayson, Trenaty, Caaden, Brooklynn, Amber, Corey and Elizabeth; and great-granddaughter, Ava. She was also survived by siblings, Carolyn Sullivan, Glen Mullins, and Doug Mullins.

Linda enjoyed being outdoors, especially camping. In her younger years she enjoyed motorcycle rides with her husband, Gary. She treasured the every day joys with family but so looked forward to the gatherings the holiday season brought. In her later years, she enjoyed adult coloring books and playing Candy Crush.

A visitation will be held for Linda on Thursday, November 11, 2021 from 5 to 8 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, located at 3940 N. Vermilion Street in Danville. A funeral service will take place on Friday, November 12. 2021 at 11 AM at the funeral home. Father Loftus will officiate. She will be laid to rest at Sunset Memorial Park next to Gary.
