Linda Henderson-Ditmer

Linda L. Henderson-Ditmer, 61, of Mahomet, passed away peacefully Thursday, June 11, 2015 at home, surrounded by her family. Born October 6, 1953 in Monticello, she was the daughter of Mary (Havice) Henderson. Linda worked as a mail handler at the University of Illinois Mailing Center for over 15 years. She was a member of the Ranch House Cowboy Church of Deland. Linda most enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She loved caring for her three cats. She is survived by two daughters, Bobbie Jo (Ryan Howe) Winemiller and Mary (Eric) Winemiller-Pettenger, both of Mahomet; three brothers, Roscoe Henderson of Indiana, William Henderson of Gibson City and Bobby (Amy) Henderson of Mansfield; two sisters, Annie (Sonny) Boley of Urbana, and Sandy (Bill) Raney of Mansfield; eight grandchildren, Jacob, Jessica, Jenesis, Larry, Kelcie, Mya, Aubrey and Brad; two great grandchildren, Paetyn and Laelyn; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Gloria Brown; two brothers, Oscar Henderson and Emmett Henderson; and one brother in infancy, Johnny Henderson. A memorial service to celebrate Linda's life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 20, 2015 at the Mansfield United Methodist Church. In accordance with her wishes, cremation has been entrusted to the care of Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 710 N. Neil Street in Champaign.
