Linda Christine Mccrone

Linda Christine McCrone, 76, of Georgetown, passed away at 9:45pm, Sunday, December 18, 2016, at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana. She was born the daughter of Vesuvius and Helen {Craddock} Talbott on December 24, 1939, in Sidell, IL. She was united in marriage to Donald McCrone on April 20, 1961, in Danville. He will miss her dearly. She will also be missed by: her children, Michael (Annette) McCrone of Georgetown, Kevin (Fengqin) McCrone of Normal, Jason McCrone of Bloomington, Ryan McCrone of Downers Grove, and Chris (Donald) Delaney of Catlin; her grandchildren, Rachel Delaney, Kyle Delaney, Tyler McCrone, Alex McCrone, Nancy McCrone, Amanda McCrone, & Megan McCrone; and her great grandchildren, Lilly Troxel & Connor Delaney. She was preceded in death by: her parents; her daughter, Elisa McCrone; and her brother, John Talbott. Linda had worked as a Registered Nurse at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Danville. She also enjoyed working at Custom Landscapes. She was a member of Georgetown United Methodist Church. Linda loved sewing, cooking, gardening, and camping. Above all, she loved spending time with her family. A celebration of Linda's life will be held at 1:00pm, Thursday, December 22, 2016 at Sunset's Houghton-Leasure Funeral Home, 200 E. West Street, Georgetown, with Pastor Matt Filicsky officiating. Visitation will be held 12:00pm to 1:00pm prior to her service on Thursday at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest in Woodlawn Cemetery, Indianola. Memorial donations may be given in her name to Georgetown United Methodist Church.
