Linda Lee (Fogleman) Cannon passed away on March 21, 2025 at Hawthorne Inn in Danville, IL with her family by her side.
Linda was born on October 17, 1937 in Terre Haute, IN the daughter of Lee and Virgina (Welker) Fogleman. She married the love of her life Larry Cannon on October 5, 1955 in Westville, IL and he preceded her in death on November 6, 1995.
Survivors include her daughters, Jodie (Kevin) Krout of Danville, IL, Jill (Todd) Matson of Oakwood, IL, her three grandchildren, Brock (Jen) Slavik of Danville, IL, Brooke Edington of Westville, IL and Conner Matson of Oakwood, IL, her two step grandchildren, Melanie (Gerald) Williams of Champaign, IL and Stephen (Taylor) Krout of Fishers, IN, her four great grandchildren, Brody Sexton of Westville, IL, Gavin Edington of Westville, IL, Evan Slavik and Drew Slavik of Danville, IL, her five step great grandchildren, Owen Crawley and Cole Crawley of Danville, IL Gianna Williams of Champaign, IL Malakai Williams of Champaign, IL and Molly Krout of Fishers, IN. Linda is also survived by her brother, John Fogleman of Danville, IL, her sister, Millie (Mike) Wilson of Danville, IL, her sister-in-laws, Mary Kay Cannon of Oakwood, IL and Olga Fogleman of Danville, IL, many nieces, nephews and cousins as well as very special friend “family” Debby Pinnick.
Linda is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Larry Cannon, mother-in-law and father-in-law, Dorothy and Frank Dalbey, brother, Ronald “Buck” Fogleman, sister and brother-in-law, Luanne and Bob Jarvis, sister-in-law, Dotsy Fogleman, brother-in-laws, Steve Cannon and Mikel Cannon, nephews, Jeff Price, and Scottie Bell, and nieces, Debby Watson and Darcy Vance.
Linda was a graduate of Westville High School in 1955. She was a cheerleader and majorette. After graduation she worked at EB Collins and Barkman Chevrolet and finished her career as an office manager and bookkeeper at Americana/Sun Bridge Nursing Home after 34 years of service.
Linda loved floating in her pool and traveling all over supporting Larry in his racing career. She also loved watching her grandkids’ sporting events through the years, mostly she loved spending time with her family.
Jodie and Jill want to thank Pat and Christina and all of the fabulous caregivers at Hawthorne Memory Care. We could not have asked for anyone better to take care of our mother.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, March 29, 2025 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville, Illinois, 3940 N Vermilion St. Danville, Illinois 61834. Matt Filicsky will officiate. Entombment will be in Sunset Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 PM on Friday, March 28, 2025 at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made in Linda’s memory to the Hawthorne Inn Memory Care Unit.
