Lillian Vasti, 96, of Westville, passed away at 7:12pm, Wednesday, July 11, 2018, at North Logan Health Care, Danville. She was born in Vliets, KS, on March 9, 1922, the daughter of Arvid and Lydia {Schuck} Swanson. She met her husband, Michael Vasti, while he was in the service in Kansas. They were married on September 3, 1944 in Topeka, KS. He preceded her in death in 2005. She will be missed by: her daughters, Toni (Bob) Potter of Westville & Fran (Bob) Falcone of Forest Bergh, NY; her grandchildren, Michael (Tracy) Potter of Danville, Karen (Matt) Waclaw of Westville, Bob (Jen) Potter of Marietta, PA, & Andrea Falcone of Livingston Manor, NY; her great grandchildren, Mariah, Danielle (Dekota), Zachary (Lexie), Maggie, Hailey, & Hunter; her sister, Elaine White of Centralia, KS; her brother, Wesley (Jean) Swanson of Newton, KS; and her many nieces & nephews whom she dearly loved. She was preceded in death by: her parents; two brothers, Stanley and 2 infant daughters, Maria & Carmela. Lillian was known to have a big heart and was a very giving person. She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, knitting, & reading as well as liked listening to audio books. She dearly loved being with her family, cooking and having dinners together with them. Lillian also loved traveling. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and the Altar & Rosary Society. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00am, Monday, July 16, 2018, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 231 N State St, Westville, with Father Timothy Saupp officiating. Visitation will be 4:00pm to 7:00pm, Sunday, July 15, 2018, at Sunset-Urbas Funeral Chapel, 414 S State St, Westville. She will be entombed at Resurrection Cemetery, Danville.
