Oakwood- Lillian O. Hoffman, 96, died Saturday, January 15, 2011. Lillian was born May 18, 1914 in Winslow, Arkansas daughter of Lester A. and Mary O. Duncan. The family moved back to Illinois when Lillian was 5. She married Charles A. Kincaid in Nov. 1939. They had one daughter, Marilyn. Charles and Lillian moved to Florida in 1972. Charles died in 1979. In 2000 Lillian married A.C. Hoffman. He died in 2002. Lillian prided herself in having the best job, a mother and housekeeper. She moved over 40 times in her life. She moved to Oakwood in 2002 to live near her niece, Nancy (Robert) Jennings. Poor eyesight limited Lillians activities but she enjoyed phone calls. She was a volunteer for Faith in Action South, making sunshine calls to as many as 17 people a week. She also called many friends and relatives all over the United States. She was preceded in death by her daughter, two sisters, and two brothers. Surviving is one brother Samuel (Pat) Duncan of Tuscon, her son-in-law Tom Felgenhauer in Florida, step-son Scott Hoffman in California, and many nieces and nephews. There will be no services. She will be buried next to her husband Charles in Florida. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Faith in Action South, 302 N. State St., Westville, IL 61883.
