Lillian Finley

DANVILLE- Lillian J. (Crawford) Finley 73 of Danville passed away at 9:15pm on Friday October 15, 2004 at Provena USMC Logan Campus. She was born in Wellington, IL on April 18, 1931, the daughter of James and Mary (Stroud) Crawford. They both precede Lillian in death. On June 8, 1985, Lillian was united in marriage to Glenn Finley in Danville. He survives and will miss her dearly. Other surviving family members include one son, Larry Nunn of Danville. Also surviving is Harvey Lee (Tammy) Mathews who she took in and raised as her own, residing in Danville. One daughter, Sue (Mike) Smiley of Tilton, one brother, Hiram (Pat) Crawford of Wellington, one sister, Virginia (Bob) Cornell of Alexas, IL, a step-son, Aaron (Darla) Finley of Homer and a step-daughter Michelle (Brian) Fox of Corcoren California. Other survivors include a special Aunt, Inez Mosier of Palmyra, IND, a sister-in-law, Stella Crawford of Arizona and several grandchildren and great- grandchildren. Her brother, Frank also precedes Lillian in death. She was a graduate from Wellington High School and the Danville Area Community College. She was employed at General Electric in Danville as a group leader for many years until retirement in 1981. In her free time, she enjoyed playing bingo and spending time with family and friends.
