Lilian Lee

Lilian (Alt) Lee 94, of Hoopeston, formerly of Rossville, passed away at 10:01 pm on Tuesday, December 15, 2009 at the Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana. She was born on May 10, 1915, in East Lynn, IL, the daughter of Samuel and Rose (Hari) Alt. On January 1, 1936, Lilian married Mr. Charles C. Lee. He preceded her in death on April 27, 1979. Survivors include her four children, Richard (Linda) Lee, Linda (Jerry) Jones, Carolyn Curry, and Judy Rayfield. Her 13 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren also survive Lilian. Her parents, brother, Russell Alt, and sister, Beulah weeks, preceded Lilian in death. She graduated from East Lynn High School. She was a homemaker, beautician, and master of the Arts and Crafts. She enjoyed fishing, reading, knitting, crocheting, and sewing. Per Lilian wishes, no viewing, or visitation will be scheduled. A private family memorial service will be held at Manns Chapel Cemetery at her request.
