Libbie Terry

Libbie Terry, 76, of Danville passed away on April 1, 2019 at Colonial Manor Nursing Home.

She was born on November 1, 1942 in Paris, IL the daughter of Ralph and Mary (Rhyan) Terry.

Libbie will be deeply missed by her daughter, Lisa (Paul Long) Patterson of Carlton, OR, brother, John (Janet) Terry of Danville, IL, longtime companion, Bill Borror, nieces, Tiffany (Aaron) Moodie, Holly (Ryan) Garrison, great nieces and nephews; Bridget, Hunter, Gracie, Abigail and Saban.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her adored dachshund, Mia.

Libbie grew up in Sidell, IL and graduated from Jamaica High School in 1960. She graduated with an Associates degree in 1962 from Stephens College in Columbia, MO. After college, Libbie worked at Robesons department store in Champaign as a bridal consultant and clothing buyer. From there she moved to the Vermilion County States Attorney and County Clerks offices where she worked for many years.

Libbie appreciated the little things in life like taking rides out to the family farm in Allerton and she and Bills friend group that met every day at Arbys. She never met a stranger and loved talking with people. She was a loyal friend, spirited, and humble but strong. Libbie loved to dance and listen to music. Later in life her and Bill loved to travel across the United States and Europe. She attended St. James United Methodist Church in Danville and was a member of the Vermilion County Farm Bureau.

A celebration of Libbies life will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, April 6, 2019 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville 3940 North Vermilion St. Danville, IL 61834 with Reverend Randall Robinson officiating. Visitation will be held from 9-11:00 AM prior to the service. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Park in Danville. Memorials can be made in her name to the American Cancer Society or the charity of the donors choice.
