Lewis Wayne Strawser

Lewis “Wayne” Strawser passed away Thursday, August 21, 2014, surrounded by his family, after a courageous battle with cancer. Wayne was born August 4, 1956 to Lewis M. and Mildred J. Strawser. He is survived by his son; Brandon Wayne Strawser of Danville, brother; Ronald (Mary Jane) Strawser of Fort Meyers, Fl., sisters; Mary (Ken) Rieden of Westville, Kathy (Alan) Roy of Tilton, Susan Steinsdoerfer of Tilton, many nieces and nephews, one granddaughter; Ahrienna Strawser of Danville, and special friends; Terry Denney and Steve Rodman. Wayne worked various jobs including custodial work at Vermillion Manor and the Moose Lodge 1001. He was a very knowledgeable person. He could tell you stories about just anything youd want to know, including the Bible. Wayne was a very private person but had a heart of gold. He will never be forgotten for the special little talks he had over a cup of coffee with certain people. Wayne was baptized in July along with his brother Ronnie, which meant the world to him. He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, sister Donna Rouse, brother-in-law; David Rouse, niece Tammy (Steinsdoerfer) Knutti and great nephew; Joel Miller. A celebration of life will be held on Monday August 25 at 1:00 pm at Sunset Funeral Home & Cremation Center, A Life Celebration Home in Danville. Officiating will be Pastor Phil Jackson. A visitation will be held for Wayne on Sunday, August 24 from 4-7pm at the funeral home.
