Letha Tucker died on Monday, December 22, 2014 at the Hawthorne Inn, with her family at her side. Jennie Letha Campbell was born in Hannibal, Missouri to Lloyd and Ida Lois Campbell on November 3, 1926. She married Robert W. Tucker on November 24 1946, and he died in 2013. She was also preceded in death by her parents, sister Dorothy, son Greg, and great-grandson Adam. Surviving to cherish her memory are sons Gary(Shari)Tucker of Florida, Jim (Marla)Tucker of Danville, Kevin(Jane)Tucker of Indiana, daughter-in-law Ann Tucker of St. Louis; grandchildren Suzzette(Scott)Hesser, Kimberlee(Randy)Biddle, Jennifer(Art)Stoll, Shauna(Michael)Gourley, Dana Page-Weese, Brock Tucker, Michael(Danielle)Tucker, Andrea Tucker; 15 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandson. Also surviving are sisters Vila(Richard)Hird of Catlin, Trella(Glenn)Pabst of Danville, brothers Dale(Joy)Campbell of Catlin, Calvin(Sherry)Campbell of Missouri, and many nieces and nephews. Letha was a homemaker whose greatest joy was loving and caring for her family. She and Bob began raising their boys in the Hannibal, Missouri area before moving to Danville in 1960. After he retired, they returned to Hannibal and lived there until his death in 2013. She was a member of Clover Road Christian Church in Hannibal. The funeral will be Tuesday, December 30 at 12:00 pm, with visitation from 10:00- 12:00 pm prior to the service at the Community Church of God, 535 S. Bowman in Danville. Rev. Daniel Miller will officiate. Burial will be at the Danville National Cemetery. Sunset Funeral Home and cremation center in Danville assisted with the arrangements. Memorial donations in Letha's name may be made to Harbor Light Hospice, 332 W. Marion, Suite N1, Forsyth, IL 62535. The family wishes to thank the staff of both Hawthorne Inn and Harbor Light for the loving care and attention Letha received.
