Lester William Cudney

Lester William Cudney Sr. 80, of Danville passed away at OSF Saint Elizabeth Hospital in Ottawa, IL, on Saturday February 27, 2021. Lester was born in New Jersey on January 5, 1941 the son of Charles and Matie (Schenck) Cudney. Lester married the love of life Donna Graham on January 16, 1962. She survives.

Also surviving Lester are his children, Lester (Amela) Cudney Jr. of Georgia, Matie Cudney of Georgetown, Martin Cudney of Danville, Elvia (Jim) Hudison of Williamsport, IN, and Fredrick Cudney of Hillsboro, IN., ten grandchildren, twenty-five great grandchildren, one brother John Cudney.

Lester was preceded in death by his parents, one son Ivan Lee Cudney, one sister Susan Reed, three grandsons, Logan and Cory Cudney and Matthew Hudison.

Lester was a proud United Air Force Veteran, he also enjoyed time bowling, reading especially his bible and going to church. Lester most of all loved his wife and family spending time with them he enjoyed the most.

A Celebration of Lesters Life will be at 3pm on Tuesday March 2, 2021 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center Westville Illinois, 414 S. State St. Westville, Illinois. Officiating the service will be Kenion Coleman, Jon Knochenmus and Jeff Thayer. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Tuesday March 2, 2021, 1-3pm.
