Danville - Lester “Michael” Glossinger, 74, of Danville passed away at 5:25 AM on Sunday, August 10, 2014 at his home. He was born on February 29, 1940 in St. Joseph, MI, the son of Lester Arnold and Elsie Renis Glossinger. He married Sharon Ann Mosher on June 18, 1960 in St. Joseph, MI. She survives. Also surviving are two sons, Mark Glossinger of Erie, PA and Brian Glossinger of Revere, MA; and three nieces, Karen Rukowski, Mary Weinhart, and Kathy Harbert. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Elizabeth White, and a niece, Lori White. Michael had earned his Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering from Tri-State/Trine University. He worked for several companies as an engineer, but most recently at Automation International from where he retired. Michael was a member at Immanuel Lutheran Church where he was very active in church functions. He enjoyed playing tennis and golf, skiing, woodworking. He was also very mechanically inclined and most often was able to fix anything around the house. Most of all, Michael loved to spend time with his family. A service to celebrate the life of Michael Glossinger will be held at 10 AM on Saturday, August 16, 2014 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Danville. Pastor Michael Heidle will officiate. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 5-8 PM on Friday, August 15 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, A Life Celebration Home in Danville. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association or to Immanuel Lutheran Church.
