Lester Roy Cundiff Lester Roy Cundiff, 65, of Jackson, TN passed away at 3:00 p.m., Monday, September 17, 2007 in Jackson. He was born September 19, 1941 in Danville, Illinois, the son of Leslie A. and Flora (Hazelbaker) Cundiff. Lester is survived by his wife of 47 years, Carolyn Jean (West) Cundiff of Springville, TN. He is also survived by his 4 daughters Melanie (Donald) Brougher of Hoopeston, Sheena (Darrell) Danner of Rossville, Lesley (Todd) Smith of Rossville, and Kelly Ervin of Rossville, son Mark (Paula) Cundiff of Rossville, sister Bonnie (Tom) McCord of Springville, TN, two brothers Willard (Joyce) Cundiff of Olivet and Jim Cundiff, as well as 13 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Lester was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, and a sister. Lester retired from CSX Railroad in 2001 after 41 years. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. He loved fishing and boating, CB radios, playing with his cats, and watching the birds. A celebration of Life for Lester Roy Cundiff will be held on Saturday, September 22, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at Sunsets Oakwood Chapel in Oakwood, Illinois with Pastor Dennis Divan officiating. Burial will be at Newtown Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. on Friday, September 21, 2007 also at Sunsets Oakwood Chapel.
