Leslie Lucille Buntain

Urbana - Leslie Lucille Buntain, 93, passed away on Wednesday, October 19, 2016 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, IL. She was born on June 30, 1923 in Kansas, IL to Leslie and Cora (Hill) York. Lucille married Robert E. Buntain on March 31, 1956 in Paris, IL. Lucille is survived by her children Jim (Karen) Buntain, Barbara (Jeff) Unangst, and Dena (Brian) Kacynski; grandchildren Jenna, Tyler, Will, Ben, and Paula. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her three sisters June, Veda, and Faye. Lucille was a skilled seamstress and enjoyed using her talents for a variety of arts and crafts. She lived her life with a focus on her family and friends and enjoyed watching old movies. In addition, she worked for many years as a proofreader at U.O Colson Company in Paris, IL. Cremation rites have been allotted through Sunset Funeral Home 710 N. Neil Street, Champaign, IL 61820. A celebration of life service will be held in Lucille's honor at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Lucille's name to Carle Hospice or the Alzheimer's Association.
