Leslie 'Les' Neufeld

Leslie Les' Dean Neufeld, 73 of Indianapolis, formerly of Danville, passed away on Sunday, November 18, 2012, at Wishard Hospital, Indianapolis, IN. He was born in Howard, Kansas, the son of Edward and Lydia {Becker} Neufeld on June 28, 1939. He was united in marriage to Cyndie Dianne Catuhe on October 12, 1985, in Indianapolis, IN. She survives. He is also survived by: his sons, Michael (Cheri) Neufeld of Danville, IN, & Krispin Neufeld of Indianapolis, IN; his daughters, Sherri (Ricky) Thacker of Manteno, IL, Julie (Greg) Shepard of Danville, IL, Christy Martin of Danville, IL, & Angelique Catuhe of Indianapolis, IN; many grandchildren & great grandchildren; and his brothers, Richard (Bonnie) Neufeld of Kankakee, IL, & Ron (Sharon) Neufeld of Decatur, IL. He was preceded in death by: his parents; his son, Leslie Jr.; his son-in-law, Kenny Martin; and his brother, Bobby Neufeld. Les was a painter and after he retired, he worked as Santa Claus. He enjoyed watching the History & Discovery Science Channels. He also enjoyed reading about physics & astrology. He especially loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. A celebration of Les' life will be held at 1:00pm, Friday, November 23, 2012, at Sunset-Urbas Funeral Chapel, 414 S State St, Westville, IL. Visitation will be held 11am-1pm prior to his service at the funeral home. He will be laid to rest in Sunset Memorial Park, Danville, IL. Memorial donations may be given to the family.
