Leroy Weir

LeRoy Weir, 64, of Danville, died at 2:25 p.m. on Sunday, June 4, 2006, at VA Illiana Health Care System LeRoy was born January 17, 1942, in Sullivan, Indiana, the son of Clinton Bert and Margaret (Kondas) Weir. LeRoy is survived by a son Clint H. Weir of Westville, Illinois; a daughter Stephanie Weir of Chrisman, Illinois; grandchildren, Hope Weir and Faith and Christopher Jenkins, Jr. all of Chrisman, Illinois; two brothers, Clint (Sue) Weir and Carol Weir all of Danville; three sisters, Leona Samolovich of Florida, Barbara Alvis of Camargo, Illinois and Carolyn (Bob) Case of Danville, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Mary Richardson and Judy McCoy. LeRoy worked as a custodian for Danville District #118 for 20 years and retired in September 2002. He enjoyed riding his Harley, playing on poker machines, driving his Jeep and was a nature lover. Most of all, LeRoy loved spending time with his family and friends. A celebration of LeRoys life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 8, 2006 at Sunset Funeral Home & Cremation Center.
