Leonard Rybarczyk, 81, of Danville passed away on August 24, 2015 at Hawthorne Inn Assisted Living in Danville. Leonard was born the son of John and Harriet (Rybka) Rybarczyk on September 29, 1933 in Chicago, IL. He married Nancy Bonk on October 29, 1955 in Two Rivers, WI. She preceded him in death on January 26, 2004. Leonard is survived by his six children; Rick (Jennine) Rybarczyk of Oceanside, CA, Bob Rybarczyk of Danville, Joe (Jiea) Rybarczyk of Everett, WA, Jim (Tammie) Rybarczyk of Danville, Cathy Miller of Danville, Rachel (Jeff) Haun of Danville; 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one brother, Dennis (Carol) Rybarczyk of St.Charles, MO; one sister, Grace (Jim) Hickey of Arlington Heights, he also leaves behind many good friends. Leonard is preceded in death by his parents, wife, and one brother, Norbert Rybarczyk. Leonard served 20 years and one month in the United States Air Force before retirement. He served during the Korean and Vietnam wars. He was a former crop duster pilot, member of EAA at Vermilion County Airport, and owned his own Cessna 172A plane. Leonard was formerly an aviation mechanic at Britt Airlines. He enjoyed volunteering as a Red Vest at Presence United Samaritan Center in Danville, was a fourth degree Knight of Columbus, a member of the American Legion post 776 in Catlin, and a member and treasurer of Meadowlawn Neighborhood Association. A visitation will be held at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville on Thursday August 27, 2015 from 4:00 - 8:00 pm. A celebration of Leonard's life will be held on Friday August 28, 2015 at 10:00 am at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Danville with Father Greg Nelson officiating. Burial will take place on Saturday August 29, 2015 at Holy Cross Cemetery in Two Rivers, WI at 10:00 am. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in Leonard's name to Presence Cancer Center 806 N Logan Danville.
