Leona 'Sis' Keller

Cayuga, Ind. - Leona 'Sis' Keller, 79, a resident of HutsonWood at Brazil for the past five years and formerly of Cayuga, passed away at 5:50 a.m. EDT Monday, May 16, 2022 at HutsonWood at Brazil in Brazil, Indiana.

She was born August 1, 1942 in Humrick, Illinois, the daughter of the late Lucy (Holycross) Meeker and John White.

She married Paul R. (Dick) Keller on June 17, 1961 at the Cayuga Christian Church, by the Rev. James Mackey. Dick preceded her in death on May 12, 2019.

Survivors include two sons, Brian Keller of Dana, Indiana and Brad Keller of Cayuga, Indiana; four granddaughters; one grandson; three great granddaughters and two great grandsons.

Sis was preceded in death by her mother: Lucy Meeker; father: John White; Step Father: Don Meeker and one sister: Neoma 'Omie' Wills.

Sis retired in 2004 from Mason and Hanger. She was a 1960 graduate of Cayuga High School. Sis enjoyed sewing, yardwork, canning and spending time with her sons and grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Funeral services: 3 p.m. EDT Friday, May 20, 2022 at DeVerter Funeral Home in Cayuga, Indiana; Officiating: Ashton Stewart; Burial: Miller Cemetery in Lodi, Indiana; Visitation: 1 p.m. EDT until time of services at the funeral home.
