Danville-Leona M. Littell, affectionately referred to as "Lee", passed away on December 29, 2016. Born to Mabel and Ralph Butcher, she was a native Missourian. She spent more than 30 years in the Evanston-Chicago area. A graduate of Northwestern University, she was employed in an advertising agency on Michigan Avenue until 1966 when she and William P, "Jack" Litell Sr. were married. He preceded her in death in May of 1991. Lee is survived by a devoted stepson, William P. "Bill" Littell Jr., of Downers Grove, IL and two step grandchildren; William "Bill" Littell III and Marguerite Anne Littell Smith, several nieces and nephews, five step great grandchildren. Her parents, two sisters and two brothers preceded her in death. With her husband, Jack, Lee moved to Danville in early 1980. She was an active member of St. James United Methodist Church. As per her request, she will be cremated with her ashes to be buried in a family plot alongside her father and mother in Carpenter Cemetery, located in Johnson County, Windsor, Missouri. Graveside services will be at a later date. The family would like to thank all of Lee's caregivers; Diana Reed, Mary Romo, Song Carter, Melissa Garrsion, Becky Brown and a longtime friend, John Terry.
