Leona Hunt

Leona Hunt, 83, of Danville, passed away Dec. 5, 2010, in Williston, Fla. She is survived by her husband, Rev. Roy J. Hunt; sons, Ray (Latina) Hunt, of Bismarck, Harold (Martha) Hunt of Fithian, Mike (Marvalene) Hunt of Gainesville, Fla., Larry (Joy) Hunt of Tilton, Paul Hunt of Danville and Roy James Jr. (Denise) Hunt of Potomac; one brother, Harold Short, Villages, Fla.; 19 grandchildren; and 40 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and two sisters. She loved the Lord and her family with all her heart. Roy and Leona spent five to six years doing mission work in Old Mexico in mid-1960s and started and pastored a number of churches in Illinois and Washington State. Visitation for family and friends will be 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 9, at Sunset Funeral Home. Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home with Rev. David Routein Jr. officiating.
