Leona G. Becky Price, 90, of Danville, Illinois passed away on July 23, 2010 at her residence. Leona was born March 28, 1920 in Danville, Illinois daughter of Cornelius and Gertrude (White) Bartlow. She married Ralph E. Price on December 2, 1944 in Covington, Indiana. He preceded her in death. Survivors include two nieces: Shelley Whitman and Connie (Ron) Brown; six nephews: William, Mike, Kevin, Alan, Virgil Jr. Butch Bartlow and John Price; numerous great nieces and nephews as well as several great-great nieces and nephews; brother-in-law Jack Price; four sister-in-laws: Shirley and Esther Bartlow, Dorothy Ruggles and Betty Gilespie; special lifelong friend Pam Andrews. She was preceded in death by her parents, two children Kenneth and Jane; three brothers Virgil, Ercel, and Orland Bartlow, sister-in-law Thelma Elswick, and lifelong friend Micky Vance. Leona and had owned and operated her beauty salon Vanity Case for 30+ years and later retired from the local DMV. She was a life member of St. Pauls Catholic Church in Danville, past commander of the DAV auxiliary, chaplain for the American Legion Post #210 auxiliary, Newell Township Precinct Committeeman, a volunteer at the Danville VA Hospital and member of the Illiana Antique Auto Club. Leona enjoyed sewing, doing crafts and spoiling her beloved dogs over the years. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am, Monday, July 26, 2010 at St. Pauls Catholic Church with Father Dennis ORiley officiating. Visitation will be held from 2-6 pm Sunday afternoon at Sunset Funeral Home & Cremation Center, a Life Celebration Home 3940 N. Vermilion St. Danville, IL.
