Leo Schneider

Leo James Schneider Sr., 80, of Danville passed away on February 28, 2010 at his residence. Leo was born July 21, 1929 in Omaha, Nebraska son of Frank and Blanche Louella Schneider. He married Hattie Alyne Meister Trimble on April 21, 1956. She preceded him on October 12, 2002. Survivors include: two sons: Leo (Linda) James Market of NE and Timothy (Suzanne) Market of VA; sister: Lillian Mayer of Omaha, NE; three grandsons: Robert Market, Stephen Market, and Michael Market; three step grandchildren: Eldon (Geri) Wright, Melanie (Ray) Miller, and Jamie Lynn (Tracy) Nelson; special great granddaughter & caregiver Lani (Joe) Carter and six step great grandchildren; two step great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and his cat Buster. His parents, brother, sister, and stepdaughter Agnes McCord preceded him in death. Leo was a truck driver for McDaniel Freight Lines and Lovelace Trucking before his retirement. He was an avid NASCAR fan. A Celebration of Leos Life will be held at 3:00 pm, Friday, March 5, 2010 at Sunset Funeral Home & Cremation Center 3940 N. Vermilion St. Danville, IL. Visitation will be held from 1-3 pm Friday afternoon at the funeral home. Following the service, he will be laid to rest at Sunset Memorial Park in Danville.
