Leo Berlin Jr

Leo Berlin Jr, 83, of Westville, died at 4:00am, Monday, April 26, 2010, at VA Hospital of Indianapolis. He was born on April 2, 1927, in Sidell, IL, the son of Leo and Bessie (Hicks) Berlin. He married Mary McCormick on January 1, 1951, in Danville, IL. She will miss him dearly. Other survivors include: his children, Gloria Berlin of Westville, Terry Berlin of Westville, John (Marla) Berlin of Westville, Richard (Squeek) Berlin of Florida, Darrell (Ann) Berlin of Danville, & Judy (Doc) Watson of West Union, IL; 11 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild on the way. Leo worked for Bohn Aluminum for nine years and Holmes Bros for seven years. He was a US Navy Veteran and had served during World War II. He was a member of the VFW. Leo enjoyed playing Euchre and Bingo. He loved spending time with his family. A celebration of Leos life will be held at 11:00am, Friday, April 30, 2010, at Sunset-Urbas Funeral Chapel, 414 S State St, Westville. Doug Hickman will officiate. Visitation will be 5pm - 8pm, Thursday, April 29, 2010, at the funeral home. He will be laid to rest in Danville National Cemetery.
