Lenora Jane Gualdoni

Lenora “Jane” Gualdoni, 79, of Danville, IL passed away at OSF Sacred Heart Medical Center in Danville, IL on March 8, 2026 at 12:18 AM.

Jane was born on May 16, 1946 the daughter of Victor and Rhoda Lucille (Flatt) McCarty in Du Quoin, IL. She married Robert Daniel “Dan” Gualdoni on January 16, 1965 in Christopher, IL and he preceded her in death on September 29, 2018.

She was, above all else, a mother- and she'd never let anyone forget how deeply she loved them. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, she lived her life with one unwavering belief: that her family is everything. She and her husband shared the conviction completely, and together they built a family rooted in love, togetherness, and an open heart. She was never happier than when everyone was gathered together. Whether it was a loud, chaotic, family dinner or watching all 5 grandchildren on her own- which she did and did joyfully- or simply making sure every person in the room knew they were loved, she gave herself fully and without reservation. She never missed a chance to say I love you, and she meant it every single time.

She is survived by her daughters, Danelle Gualdoni and Patti (John) Jansky and brother, Dave (Judy) McCarty. Grandchildren: Katie (Ed) Crawley, Sam Henk, Jett (Kati) Jansky, Drew Jansky and Gage Jansky. Great Grandchildren Princeton and Sasha, and a great grandson Bennett, who is on the way and already so loved.

There's no way to explain the loss that we are feeling. No words large enough to fill the space she leaves behind. But what she gave us- her example, her warmth, her insistence that we belonged to one another life and that remains. We are forever grateful to have been given her. She was the best mom and grandma. Simply the best.
