Lenard Bloomfield

Lenard Bloomfield 68 of Muncie passed away at 3:38 A.M. Monday July 23, 2007 at Carle Hospital in Urbana. He was born December 13, 1938 in Muncie the son of Ross and Gladys Combs Bloomfield. He married Edith Stingley on December 24, 1962 in Fithian; she preceded him in April of 2000. Surviving are four sisters; Martha Powell of State Line, IN, Margaret (Lloyd) McGowen of Williamsport, IN, Opal Pruitt of Danville, Minnie Barsteika of Elkton, VA, one brother; Robert Bloomfield of Danville, a sister in-law; Sue Bloomfield of Oakwood, special friend; Martha Brewer of Oakwood, several nieces and nephews and several great-nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers Ross Jr and Harold, and an infant brother. Lenard worked for the State of Illinois Department of Transportation for 30 years before retirement. He also was proud of his old tool collection he acquired over the years. Lenard enjoyed visiting with friends and drinking coffee at the North Oakwood truck stop. A celebration of life funeral service for Lenard will be 10:00 a.m. Friday July 27, 2007 at Sunsets Oakwood Chapel. Officiating will be Rev. Dave Routin. Burial will be in Newtown cemetery.
