WESTVILLE - Lelia V. (Gastent) Redifer, 90, of Westville, passed away at 6:07am on Saturday, May 27th, 2006, at the Vermilion Manor Nursing Home. Lelia was born on September 18th, 1915, in Ashmoore, IL, the daughter of Joseph W. and May (Lanham) Wiltermood. Lelia married Charles T. Gastent in 1941, and later married Clifford Redifer. Both preceded her in death. Lelia will be missed by: her three children, Charles Butch (Barbara) Gastent of Westville, Frances Becker of Georgetown, and Carol (George) Haskins of Westville; her ten grandchildren; her seventeen great grandchildren; and six great-great grandchildren. Her parents, three brothers, one sister, and her grandson-Tom Becker, preceded her in death. She worked as a meat packer and was a member of the Danville Teamsters Local 26. She enjoyed working in her yard and cherished time spent with her family and friends. A celebration of Lelias life will be at 10:00am on Tuesday, May 30th, 2006, at Sunset South's Westville Chapel at 414 S State Street, Westville. Reverend James Blue will officiate. Entombment will be at Sunset Memorial Park in Danville. Visitation is 5-7pm on Monday, May 29th, 2006, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the R.P. Foundation for the Blind and/or Carle Hospice.
