Leetta 'Ann' Knee

Leetta Ann Clingan Knee was born October 27, 1938, in Kingman, Indiana to Gordon L. Clingan and Elizabeth Ratliff Clingan who proceeded her in death.

She married Donald Dean Knee June 1, 1958. At St. Johns United Church of Christ in Danville, IL. who also proceeded her in death.

Together they had two children, Kimberly A (Jeff) Walsh and Kent Allen (Cindy) Knee both from Danville, IL.; six grandchildren, Ryan (Char) Walsh, Meagan (Chad) Tabler, Michael (Kailey) Burnett, Dustin (Sherry) Burnett, Kylie (Tyler) Knight, and Kolt (Brandon Ennis) Knee; 11 great grandchildren; as well as two brothers, John L. (Karen) Clingan of Danville, and James S. (Margaret) Clingan Royal, Illinois; and sister-in-law, Judith Copas, of Brookston Indiana.

Ann graduated from Armstrong High School in 1956 and graduated from Danville Beauty School in 1957. She owned and operated her beauty shop for 12 years in her home. Ann also graduated from Danville Junior College School of Practical nursing in 1971. She worked at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Danville Care North, some private duty nursing. She was also a member of Lamda Tau Delta Sorority and Danville United Church of Christ.

Ann especially enjoyed being a wife, mother and especially a grandmother and great grandmother. She loved to cook, keep house, doing crafts and reading.

A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, February 4, 2022 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville, Illinois, 3940 N Vermilion St. Danville, Illinois 61834. Officiating will be Pastor James Blue. Visitation will be held just prior to the service from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Per Anns wishes she will be cremated.
