Lee 'Kork' Kilgore, 71, of Danville, passed away Sunday, July 3, 2022.

Lee was a Vietnam War, Veteran, and he retired from the CSX Railroad. He loved technology; it was his passion. His favorite song, was Iron Butterfly's 'In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida.'

Lee is preceded in death, by his parents, Bob and Helen Kilgore; his wife, Betty Kilgore, of 42 yrs; and one stepson, Chuck Childers.

Lee is survived by two daughters, Toni (Robert) Hendricks and Brandi Lathrop; five siblings, Barb (John) Crain, Cathy (Bret) Astell, Terrie (Mike) Chesrown, Jim (Bonnie) Kilgore, and Sandra (Rick) Delhaye; seven grandchildren, Morgan (Araya) Hendricks-Luse, Allison (John) Squires, Tytus and Malachi Lathrop, Amber (Scott) Colgrove, Austin Childers, and Zach Edwards; seven great grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews, and their families.

A service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 6, 2022 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville, Illinois, 3940 N Vermilion St. Danville, Illinois 61834. Officiating will be Pastor Kevin Cox. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park in Danville. Visitation will be held just prior to the service from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
