Lee Franklin Breezely

Lee Franklin Breezely, 84, passed away at 1:50 a.m. on Sunday, December 23, 2018 at Danville Care Center. He was born on April 13, 1934 in Danville, Illinois the son of Earl C. Breezely and Lois Elder Breezely. They precede him in death.

Also preceding Lee in death include one nephew, Douglas F. Mann; brothers in law, Joseph F. Mann and Lawrence O. Clark; and one close friend, Richard Dierking.

He is survived by his sister, Annabelle Breezely Mann Clark; two nephews, Dennis (Denise) Mann and David (Cindy) Mann; a niece-in-law, Janice E. Mann; two great nephews, Jacob (Beth) Mann and Joseph (Joyce) Mann; two great nieces, Aubrey (Jonathan) Myers and Erin (Kevin) Chankin; nine great great nieces and nephews; and several cousins.

Lee loved the country life and was a farmer in Vermilion County. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. His uniform is at the Vermilion County War museum and his grandfather Elders buggy is on display at the Vermilion County Museum. For many years Lee enjoyed going to the Goddard Ranch in Colorado to help with the calving. He enjoyed eating at the I & I Steak House with many friends. Lee loved his family and was very proud of them, he will be deeply missed.

Lees family would like to thank his wonderful caregivers, Dr. Sodhi, the staff at the dialysis center, Bowman estates assisted living, Danville Care South, OSF Medical Center, and Harbor Lights Hospice.

A Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, December 26, 2018 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center 3940 N. Vermilion St. in Danville. Officiating will be Pastor Michael Heidle. Per Lees wishes cremation rites have been accorded and burial will be at a later date. Visitation will be held from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. prior to the memorial service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Lees name to the Humane Society of Danville at 1225 N. Collett St.
