Lawrence "Larry" Edward Trimble, 65, of Camarillo, CA formerly of Danville, IL passed away at his home on December 20, 2021.
Larry was born on December 31, 1955 the son of Glen and Jean (Lash) Trimble in Danville, IL.
Survivors include his parents, Glen and Jean Trimble of Danville, IL, four children Jacob (Vy) Trimble of Moorpark, CA, Briana Trimble of Orlando, FL and Lauren (Tristan) Burkard of Magnolia, TX and Solomon Schoeppner of Danville, IL, siblings, Debra (Mike) Marsh of Danville, IL, Steven (Paula) Trimble of Blue Ash, OH, Sandra Morgan of Danville, IL, Judith (Brian) Neville of Danville, IL and Cynthia (Mark) Harden of Oakwood, IL, his grandchildren, Isaac, Benjamin, and Jonah Trimble, Isaiah, Lila, and Tavin Burkard, and Solly, Dominic and Kai Schoeppner as well as many nieces and nephews.
Larry is preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents and one sister, Tamara Trimble.
Larry was a high school math teacher who coached basketball, baseball, and football throughout his career. You could find him either in the classroom or at a sporting event encouraging his students. He was active in his church where he sang in the choir, as well as local plays and musicals. He was an umpire, referee and an avid sports fan, rooting for the Green Bay Packers, the Chicago Cubs and the Fighting Irish of Notre Dame. Most of all Larry enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 AM on Thursday, January 13, 2022 at St Pauls Catholic Church, 1303 North Walnut Street Danville, Illinois 61832. Father Bo Schmitt will officiate. Entombment will be in Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 12, 2022 from 5-7:00 PM at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville, Illinois, 3940 N Vermilion St. Danville, Illinois 61834. A Rosary Service will be held at 4:30 PM prior to the visitation.
It is kindly requested that those in attendance of visitation or the funeral wear a mask and practice social distancing.
Memorial Contributions may be made in Larrys memory to St. Pauls Catholic Church or Schlarman Academy.
