Lavern Julick

Lavern Arthur Julick, 95, OF Cayuga, passed away at 11:45 p.m. Monday, August 28, 2017 at Union Hospital in Terre Haute. She was born March 22, 1922 to Stacy Ralph and Etta (Vale) Arthur in Metcalf, Illinois. She graduated from Cayuga High School in 1940. She married Otto Julick, Jr. in August 1942. He died in 1996. Lavern was the Vermillion County Librarian at the Cayuga Branch for many years.

Lavern is survived by a sister, Dorothy McMurtrey, children, Otto Julick, III (Clhoriss) and Marva Fern (Ernest) Moore. She leaves behind a granddaughter Malynda Lavern (Michael) Rossl, four grandsons, Otto Julick, IV (Michelle), John David Julick, Ernest Nathan Moore, Jr. (Marva), Christopher Michael Moore, (Stephanie), a step-grandson, Nick Ellis and great-grandchildren, Christopher Michael Moore, Jr., Bailee N. Julick, Cole R. Julick, Heath A.D. Julick, Hali R. Julick and Kyleigha R. Julick, and great-great-grandchildren, Bentlee Nesbitt, Jaxon Cook and Lucian Julick. She was preceded in death by her parents, twin sister, Fern Cutrell, and siblings Doris Faye Stokes, Ralph Arthur, Jr., Fredrick Earl Arthur and Jackie Dean Arthur.

Lavern was a member of the Cayuga Presbyterian Church and Order of the Eastern Star. Throughout her lifetime she was a member of several organizations.

At her request, private family graveside services will be held.
