Laura Wynn

Laura Laurene Wynn, 89, of Danville, passed away at 10:13 a.m. Tuesday, March 20, 2007 at Vermilion Manor Nursing Home in Danville. Laura was born on October 16, 1917 in Danville, the daughter of Earl V. and Lillian (Palmer) Kidd. She married George Wynn on June 6, 1937 in Danville. He preceded her in death on April 23, 1992. She is survived by her three sons- Tom (Annetta) Wynn, Don (Sharon) Wynn and Bill (Joan) Wynn all of Danville; one daughter- Cathy (Tom) Acree of Danville; one sister-in-law- Abby Acton of Danville; ten grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one grandson- Bradley Wynn, and one great-grandson- Scott White. Laura attended Diamond Grade School in Danville. She was a lifetime member of Faith Baptist Church. She enjoyed sewing, gardening and working in her yard. Laura was a great cook. She enjoyed being around her grandchildren and her great-grandchildren. A Celebration of the Life of Laura Laurene Wynn will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 23, 2007 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville, with Pastor Al Rudie officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 " 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Oakhill Cemetery in Danville. Memorials may be made to Faith Baptist Church.
