Laura Marie Winn-Price

Danville - Laura Marie Winn-Price, 69, passed away on November 25, 2015 at her home in Tilton, IL. She was born the daughter of Cleo H. and Evelyn A. Winn on March 18, 1946 in Danville, IL. Laura is survived by her son Shawn P. (Jane) Hughes of Danville; grandchildren Leah Hughes and Lindsey (Cory Booher) Hughes; great-grandchildren Trinity & Trevor Warner, and Lily Booher; sisters Audrey (James W.) Boinest of Alexandria, VA and Elaine (David) Walsh of Indianapolis, IN; brother David (Diana) Winn of Oakwood, IL; and several nieces and nephews. Laura is preceded in death by an infant son and her parents. Laura was a practicing nurse for over 40 years. She especially enjoyed working with the elderly and she specialized in geriatrics. She always had a good story to tell. She ran and directed the Inman Plaza Retirement Hotel in Champaign, IL until her retirement. Helping others through her work brought her great joy in life. Laura had a passion for Nascar racing and especially enjoyed attending the Daytona 500 every year with her son Shawn in Daytona Beach, FL. When she could not attend a race, she made sure she was near a TV and scheduled herself around the times of the races in order to not miss anything. Shopping and eating out always made her day, and a little vacation to Indiana Beach brought her great joy and memories. No visitation or funeral services will be held at the request of the deceased.
