Laura “Madolyn” Watts, 91, of Georgetown, passed away on January 3, 2014 at Presence United Samaritans Medical Center in Danville. She was born in Danville, IL on January 25, 1922, the daughter of James Andrew and Ethel (Hymer) Miller. She married Benjamin Wilkerson Watts on November 1, 1958 at Foursquare Church in Danville. They spent almost 50 wonderful years together before his passing in 2007. Madolyn will be deeply missed by three daughters, Kaye (Robert) Mosier of Indianola, Bonnie (Mike) Cox of Westville and Anna Covarrubias of Pana; one son, Kenneth Howard Miller of Danville; 20 grandchildren; many great grandchildren; one sister, Mildred E. Miller of Georgetown and one sister-in-law, Wilmetta Miller of Georgetown. Madolyn was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Benjamin; two daughters, Melody Sue Harvey and Penny Ruth Guiliani; four brothers, Dan (Georgia) Miller, Jim Miller, Grover (Margaret) Miller and Baby brother, Billy; three sisters, Reatha (Harlan) Clemens, Mary (Bob) Streuer and Reverend Ruth (Frank) Potter. Madolyn and Benjamin “Wick” took great pride in their landscaping business. She was a dedicated Christian. Madolyn was known in the community for her leisurely walks around town with her sister, Mildred. Madolyn is loved, and will be greatly missed. A visitation for Madolyn will be held on Wednesday, January 8, 2014 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Sunsets Houghton-Leasure Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 pm with Pastor James Blue officiating. Burial will take place at Crown Hill Cemetery, Ridge Farm, IL. Memorials in Madolyns name can be made to a charity of choice.
