Laura Lenover Broderick

Danville - Laura Lenover Broderick, 68, of Lakeland, FL, formerly of Danville, IL passed away at 1:22 a.m. on Thursday, January 4, 2018 peacefully at home. Laura was born December 13, 1949 in Danville, IL to Robert and Dorothy Crawford Lenover. She is survived by two sons, Drew Broderick of Ft. Myers, FL and Timothy (Erika) Broderick of Ocala, FL; grandchildren Devin Broderick and Austin John Broderick-Weidmann; and one brother, Dave (Simphi) Lenover. She was proceeded in death by her parents; three sisters, Rachel Lenover, Rena Schutt, and Mary Klaus. Laura moved to Lakeland, FL in 2005 where she was a cancer registrar for Watson Clinic in Lakeland, FL. Laura enjoyed spending time with her friends and family, going to church, and playing cards. Laura was loved by everyone and had a great sense of humor, always laughing and making others laugh. Laura struggled the last few years with many health issues, but kept her spirits high and strong and continued moving forward. She worked until her last day. Laura always had an ear to lend and a shoulder to cry on and was there to help anyone. She will be missed by many. A joint Memorial Service will be held for Laura and her father, Robert Lenover (who also passed away on January 4, 2018), on January 19, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 3940 N. Vermilion Street, Danville, IL. Rod Godley will officiate. Visitation will be held from 9-11 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial at Sunset Memorial Park.
