Laura Ann Payne

Fithian Laura Ann (Laker) Payne, 56, passed away on Saturday, December 17, 2022 at Gardenview Manor in Danville, IL. She was born on September 26, 1966 in Danville, IL to David Lenning Laker and Sara Ann (Williams) Seimer. Laura married Joel Payne on February 14, 2014 in Abilene, TX.

Laura is survived by her mother; husband; stepchildren Leticia Boulding and Virginia Herden; step-grandchildren Connor Boulding, Layla Boulding, Skyler Herden, and Danielle Herden; siblings David E. (Mary Ann) Laker and Sam (Linda) Laker; stepbrother Doug (Betty) Seimer; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father and stepbrother Todd Seimer.

Laura enjoyed antiquing and gambling. She worked as a traveling x-ray technician for 25 years and was most recently employed at OSF Sacred Heart Medical Center in Danville, IL.

Memorial visitation will be held from 11am-1pm on Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 105 E South Main St, Oakwood, IL 61858. Service will follow at 1pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Lauras name to the American Cancer Society or Muncie Baptist Church.
