Larry Stiverson

Champaign--Larry Floyd Stiverson, 79, of Champaign passed away at 8:35a.m. Friday, May 17th, 2019 at OSF Heart of Mary Medical Center in Urbana, IL.

He was born on August 26th, 1939 at Burnham hospital in Champaign, IL to Homer Floyd and Rose Irene (Whitehouse) Stiverson.

Larry is survived by his wife Rebecca Stiverson and their ve children, Melody (Mike) Sorrentino of Decatur, Carol Anglin of Decatur, Mike Stiverson of Tolono, Tony Stiverson of Peoria and Lisa Stiverson of Urbana; brothers, Ed (Loretta), Max, John (Mary), Robert (Carol). He also leaves behind four grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, two brothers and one sister.

He loved growing up and working on his family farm. He was loved by so many people and always acted as if he never met a stranger. If it was the rst time you met him he would talk to you like he knew you for years. His friends and co-workers from County Market nicknamed him 'Sarge' because of his at top haircut and he was always telling people what to do. Larry was always busy even after his retirement he would nd something to do. He enjoyed spending his free time relaxing inside while reading a book and ipping channels on TV.

In lieu of flowers memorials can be made in Larrys name to The Muscular Dystrophy Association of Champaign, IL.

A Celebration of Larrys Life will be held at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Champaign, Illinois, 710 N Neil St. Champaign, Illinois 61820 on Thursday, May 23, 2019 from 4-6pm a service will follow at 6pm
